Alejandro Cachón and Borja Rozada are heading for the eleventh edition of the Pozoblanco Rally, the last of the season, with the S-CER championship at stake. In this way, the Cachón – Rozada duo will be looking to emerge victorious from this event, which will be contested on gravel.
The S-CER champion will be decided this weekend and only a few points separate the two contenders for the title. Alejandro Cachón and Borja Rozada have 271 points thanks to their 3 victories, 3 second places and a third place, which shows that they have not been off the podium all season long.
The crew of the GR Yaris Rally2, recent champions of the Rally RACC, will have 7 stages ahead of them in which they will try to be the fastest and thus be able to get the coveted championship title, which would be the end of a brilliant season.
The fight will begin on Friday with the celebration of the shakedown and the qualifying stage, which will choose the starting order for the next day’s stages.
Saturday will be the day when the Superchampionship will be decided, where the performance in all the stages will be decisive, especially in the TC+.
Alejandro Cachón (DRIVER): “Very good feeling with the car. Today in the test it was raining most of the day so I was able to test the car in mud, which we had never been able to test before. The feeling was very good and we are ready to fight for the victory in the rally”.
Borja Rozada (CO-DRIVER): “We are happy after the test. The conditions were difficult because we were caught in the rain for most of the day, but we managed to get a set-up that Alejandro is comfortable with and we are ready to attack from the first kilometre of the first stage. The team worked well despite the tough rainy conditions and we are looking forward to the start of the rally”.
Teo Martín (TEAM MANAGER): “Last rally of the season with the championship at stake. Alejandro, Borja and the whole team will give everything to achieve the victory and close a brilliant season with Toyota Gazoo Racing Spain”.
