Ángel Piqueras gets close to the Moto3 podium in a very combative race at Assen

MOTO3

Ángel Piqueras 👉 P5

“We have already finished the race and I could feel a little bit better with the bike. A fifth place is quite positive to how the weekend had gone. Now looking forward to getting home to continue training and prepare for Sachsenring.”

Ryusei Yamanaka 👉 P12th.

“I started very well in the race, but in the second part I made several mistakes and lost positions. After that, I couldn’t get back to the front group. For the next GP I have to improve on that point.”

MOTO2

Eric Fernandez 👉 P17

“It was a bittersweet weekend, because we managed to make a step forward in the times, but in the race people crashed in front and the group got away from me; I didn’t have so much pace. I hope, in the next one, to have more rhythm and that I don’t need to get caught up with anyone.”

Iván Ortolá 👉 DNF

“I’m happy with the weekend. In the race we learned a lot; we already know what it’s like to be in the front group, in the first laps. We’ve taken experience from it, so that the same thing doesn’t happen to us again. Now we are looking forward to Germany.”
