Closing of the GR Cup Spain 2024 season with theprize-giving gala 

The GR Cup Spain end-of-season gala took place last Friday 10th January at the headquarters of Motor & Sport Institute (MSi) and Teo Martín Motorsport. Chaired by Miguel Carsi, President of Toyota Spain, and Teo Martín, CEO of Motor & Sport Institute (MSi) and partner of Toyota in its sporting activity in Spain, the event put the finishing touch to a season full of success for Toyota.

The gala began with the presentation of prizes to the drivers participating in the GR Cup Spain, with 15-year-old Adrián Ferrer receiving one of the biggest ovations of the evening as he collected his trophy as overall winner and also the prize for first place in the Junior category. In addition, the prizes that the winners receive in cash were handed out. In the case of Ferrer, he received 15,000 euros as the overall winner and 5,000 euros as the Junior winner. Marcos de Diego, as runner-up, received 10,000 euros in cash, in addition to the trophy, and Antonio Albacete, 5,000 euros as third-place winner. The trophy for best team of the season went to Eficar Team.

The gala offered a preview of what will be the GR Cup Spain in 2025 and, in addition to the technical evolution that the Toyota GR86 Circuit Pack will receive, the calendar for the new season was also announced. A calendar that goes from five to six weekends, with the first race taking place from 28 to 30 March at the Motorland Aragón circuit. At the same time, the Toyota GR86 will compete for the first time in Navarra and Portimão, which this year will be the first venues for this mono branded cup.
