Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán, ready for Rally Chile WRC2

Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán are heading to Chile to take part in the first rally outside Europe this season, which will also be their sixth round in the WRC2.

The transoceanic adventure will start on Thursday 26th with the shakedown and the start ceremony, which will be the first contact with the Chilean gravel.

On Friday 27th the action will start on the stages, where Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán will face the technical and steep forest tracks characteristic of the Bío Bío region. To this difficulty must be added the weather, with heavy downpours expected.

On Saturday and Sunday, the GR Yaris Rally2 will have ten more stages ahead of it, ending with the special stage. It will be there where Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán will try to repeat a good result that will allow them to stay in the top 3 of the WRC2 Challenger general standings.

Jan Solans (DRIVER): “The tests went very well, the guys worked hard and with our engineer we did a good job on the set-up for the rally. Obviously it’s an unknown terrain for us but we are really looking forward to it and we will try to keep showing our speed in WRC2 and try to get a good result’’.

Rodrigo Sanjuán (CO-DIVER): “It’s our first time in Chile, so we are very excited.  Our goal is to keep learning, keep putting in the miles and try to get a good result for the team, although we know it will be a very tough rally’’.

Teo Martín (TEAM MANAGER): “We are really looking forward to Chile, as it is our first WRC2 event in South America. It will be a tough rally but the aim is to do well in this event’’.
