MTHelmets-MSi ends European tour, holding on to Moto2 category lead with Ogura on top

Ai Ogura: ‘The race was really fast compared to the previous San Marino Grand Prix. I had some difficulties with my riding and I couldn’t catch the rivals in front of me. In this case, P4 is fine; we managed the weekend and the race very well, which is always the goal. I’m very happy with this weekend and now we go to the Asian tour, let’s see how it goes’.

Sergio Garcia: ‘It was a pity about today’s crash in the race, because I think we could have done a good job. Now it’s time to focus on the Asian tour, where I’m sure it will be a time of strengthening.’

Iván Ortolá: ‘Well, it wasn’t a bad race, I just held back a bit at the beginning because I wanted to conserve too much. Because of that, I opened up a big gap, about a second, and then it was impossible for me to recover. The most important thing is that we know we have the level and we are there’.

Ryusei Yamanaka: ‘I started from P15 on the grid and from the beginning I had difficulties and made a lot of mistakes. After a few laps I started to feel better, which is important for the next race. Now it’s time to keep working to improve.
