Ortolá finishes just outside the podium in a race marked by two red flags

MOTO3

Ryusei Yamanaka 👉 P24

“We improved a lot over the weekend in terms of our base setup and I feel that the good sensations are coming back. I’m very happy with the progress, but unfortunately I crashed during the race. I need to analyze why, as it was a bit of a strange crash for me. Before it happened, I was feeling very comfortable and I could have fought for the podium, but I made a mistake and crashed. I have two weeks ahead to recover, although I’m not in pain; I’ll train even harder and prepare for the new circuit in Brazil.”

Hakim Danish 👉 P18

“At the moment, I’m still in the process of finding my rhythm and adapting to the Moto3 machine, and I need to work on finding the right setup to make the bike easier to ride. God willing, I will keep working hard ahead of next week. For the next race, my focus will be on improving my riding style, especially how I handle the KTM, as I need to refine my braking technique and my corner entry. Although my communication with the team is already quite good, I want to strengthen it even more so that we can be even more in sync. The next round will be the Brazilian GP, which is a new circuit for all the riders, making the competition more open. I’m very excited and can’t wait to race there. I will give it my best.”

Iván Ortolá 👉 P4

“I’m happy with the weekend we had; we worked very well and achieved a good result. Now we need to keep this momentum going. It’s a shame about the double red flag because I was feeling very good. Looking forward to getting to Brazil.”

Ángel Piqueras 👉 DNF

“It’s a shame to have crashed so early because we couldn’t gather information or experience for the upcoming races. The important thing is that we were fast and I’m looking forward to getting to Brazil.”
