The 2025 GR Yaris Cup Spain will be decided in La Nucía

The 2025 Rallye La Nucía-Mediterráneo, taking place from November 6 to 8, will bring a thrilling GR Yaris Cup Spain season to a close, marked by tight competition and excitement at every round. The Alicante event will be the sixth and final round of the one-make cup organized by Toyota España and the Motor & Sport Institute (MSi), will award points with a 1.5 coefficient, and will be held entirely on asphalt. All of this gives it a decisive role in determining the championship.

The action will kick off on Thursday, November 6, at 8:00 PM with the traditional start ceremony at the Auditori de Les Nits de La Nucía, where teams will parade before the public in the inaugural event. Starting Friday, November 7, the drivers will face two intense stages with 12 special stages totaling 161 timed kilometers, covering some of the most technical roads in the province of Alicante.

The GR Yaris Cup Spain overall standings are completely open. Sergi Francolí (CSM Automoció) leads with 94 points, but José Lamela (79) and Daniel Remuiñán (77), both from Breogán Motor, remain in close contention. Adrián Díaz (75) (Breogán Motor) and Joan Socias (74) (Toyota Asturias) also have mathematical chances. All drivers can drop one result, keeping the championship suspense alive until the end.

At the previous RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the win went to Adrián Díaz and Sara Fernández (Breogán Motor), followed by Laia Sanz and Luka Larrosa (CSM Automoció), and José Lamela and Unai Conde (Breogán Motor). The podium reflected the incredible parity among the teams and narrowed the points gaps even further, leaving the championship wide open ahead of La Nucía.

The route of this final round alternates between fast and technical stages, with iconic specials such as Pinos–Xaló, Pego–Vall d’Ebo, Benassau–Gorga, Penáguila–Relleu, and Guadalest–Callosa. Friday will feature six stages—including several night runs—while Saturday will decide everything with another six asphalt stages.

The entry list confirms the presence of all the regular teams: CSM Automoció, Breogán Motor, Toyota Asturias, and IPPON Motor Vallès. This time, Jordi San Andrés will compete in the GR Yaris RZ for the first time with the latter team, guaranteeing a season finale of the highest level. With the extra points from GR Plus*2, the stage wins, and the 1.5 coefficient still to be claimed, everything is set for La Nucía to decide the 2025 GR Yaris Cup Spain champion.
