The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup end-of-season gala took place last Friday 10th January at the headquarters of Motor & Sport Institute (MSi) and Teo Martín Motorsport. Chaired by Miguel Carsi, President of Toyota Spain, and Teo Martín, CEO of Motor & Sport Institute (MSi) and Toyota’s partner in its sporting activity in Spain, the event put the finishing touch to a season full of success for Toyota.
The winners of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup, the one-make cup organised by Toyota Caetano Portugal, Toyota Spain and MSi, collected their awards. Gabriel Morales, co-driver of champion Bruno Bulacia, was in charge of collecting the trophies as winners and the 25,000 euros in cash prizes. Bruno Bulacia could not be present at the gala for personal reasons, and was also crowned the best Junior driver. Javi Villa and Enrique Velasco received the trophy as second classified and 18,000 euros in cash, while Josep Bassas and Manel Muñoz, third classified, collected their respective trophies and 12,000 euros in cash. In addition, Gabriel Morales received an additional prize of 3,000 euros, as first classified among the co-drivers. The prize for the best team went to CSM Automoció. With regard to this single-make cup, which is contested with the Toyota GR Yaris RZ Cup, the new features for 2025 were also announced.
Firstly, for this year 2025, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Iberian Cup will change its name to GR Yaris Cup Spain, as, after three seasons sharing the calendar with Portugal, it will now be held entirely in Spain. Also, there will be six qualifying rounds, instead of eight, all of them belonging to the S-CER. The season will be opened by the Rallye de Lorca, on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of March. In addition, the prizes vary for this 2025, and the winner will be offered the possibility of receiving the prize money as champion or investing that amount by competing in a race with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.
