Jan Solans and Rodrigo Sanjuán show a high pace at Rally Sweden

The Swedish test is very special and very technical, for specialists in the snowy surface, but Jan and Rodrigo have shown throughout the weekend a very high pace, being on several occasions very close to the top positions, even scoring the first scratch so far this season within the WRC2.

The whole Teo Martin Motorsport team has made a great effort in this rally, new for everyone and that was a great challenge for the extreme conditions in which they work. Jan and Rodrigo were gradually adapting to these sections and driving in snow, but at the end of the day on Friday, a electric failure in the car did not allow them to take the start in the last special stage. This forced them to restart the rest of the rally, with no chance of moving up to the top positions in the standings.

However, this setback did not prevent them to show a high pace in what remained of rally, marking a second best time in section 12 and a first scratch in WRC2 in section 13. From here until the end of the rally, all were good feelings and desire to continue working to achieve the goal of making a good result in the next rounds of the world.

The next appointment for the Teo Martin Motortsport team will be the Rally of Portugal to be held in May.

Jan Solans (DRIVER): “Overall it has been a rally to be happy. Although the final result was not what we expected, because with Friday’s problems it was very difficult for us to go for a good result, we were able to show a good pace and speed. We scored a scratch and we were several times in the top five. This rally is very difficult and we are happy. We have really enjoyed this rally”.

Rodrigo Sanjuán (CO-DRIVER): “The rally was tough, but we had a very good feeling, especially in the second part. It was a pity about the problem we had on Friday, but the times on Saturday and Sunday have left us with a very good feeling for the next rallies. I want to highlight the work of the team, which has been very hard and have given everything so that we could achieve our goals”.

Teo Martín (TEAM MANAGER): “The team has done a very good job throughout the rally. It has been very hard for everyone to work in such complicated conditions, but they have shown once again that they are up to any circumstance. Jan and Rodrigo have shown that they have speed and have fought against their rivals with a lot of determination. Overall I am very happy.
